Personality & Traits

General Overview Zoey has a very unique personality, almost two really. While she is a very intelligent girl who
always received high grades, and a member of the honor societies she isn't always that bright. Zoey has a split personality disorder that causes her to have different personalities at time which is mostly controlled by medication. Her personalities include her normal self who is quiet and very intelligent, but somewhat ditzy girl, while her other personality is a quite promiscuous girl with an imaginary pet rock, named Darby.

Zoey is very friendly and loves people which was a major reason for her choice of profession as well as her own condition.

Personal History

Personal History Zoey had a great childhood. She was born on Luna, the Earth's moon, where she lived with her parents until the age of five when she moved to Earth. She lived in Hawaii with her Grandparent's at a beautiful oceanfront home and loved the ocean with all of her heart. Her mother and father were both officers in Starfleet and were away, leaving her with her grandparents. She was a normal kid with lots of friends and was a social butterfly. When she turned thirteen the first sign of psychiatric disorder showed it's face. Zoey was living as two people the other named Beth, short for Bethany. Zoey was soon hospitalized to help treat her disorder.

Zoey spent a year in the hospital and left soon after her fourteenth birthday. She found that she had a brand new baby sister, who she loved dearly. Her father and mother were reassigned to the same ship and left, leaving their two daughters with their grandparents once again. Her grandfather passed away and due to the highly emotional time her personalities started to act out, but her normal self prevailed. Zoey soon began taking care of her sister and grandmother at the young age of fifteen due to her grandmothers slowly declining health, due to age.

On her sixteenth birthday Zoey had a breakdown and was hospitalized for a month after her grandmother died. It was then her imaginary pet rock, named Darby, was invented. She was released from the facility and returned to Hawaii to live with her mother, her father having not been able to return.

The family moved to a starbase where Zoey’s parents were stationed. Zoey’s parents were sent on an away mission and during the course of their duties killed. This left Zoey as the legal guardian of her little sister, Olivia. Zoey and Olivia returned to Hawaii where they lived in an apartment on a different island from their grandparents used to live. They didn't live as close to the ocean but a good view of it worked just as well. Zoey worked hard at school and as a waitress and taking care of Olivia with the help of one of the neighbors they called Grandma Kat.

Zoey graduated from high school at the age of seventeen and joined Starfleet. She attended the Academy, but was removed from Starfleet due to her medical condition. Being separated from her sister caused her disorder to flare up. She was allowed to finish off the year, allowing her to work on her degree.

After leaving the Academy she moved to New York and attended Columbia University to pursue a degree in Pre-Medicine and Psychology. Zoey remained at Columbia after her undergraduate degree to continue to study medicine. She choose to pursue Emergency Medicine as her field of study. Upon graduation and being able to prove that her own medical condition was under control she earned a direct commission into Starfleet as a Lieutenant Junior Grade.

Her first assignment in Starfleet was aboard the USS Healy as a Medical Officer where she completed her internship and most of her residency. She served aboard the Healy for three years prior to being assigned to Starbase 378, where she completed her residency. After finishing her residency she began a distance program for her doctorate in Psychology as she wanted to be able to double as a Psychiatrist. Her interest in mental health stemming from her own illness and experiences.

Having completed her residency Zoey has been assigned to USS Arizona as Assistant Chief Medical Officer and as an attending physician.

Medical History

Psychological Profile Zoey suffers from a multiple personality disorder that is brought on by anxiety and high stress. Her condition, while unstable when not properly medicated, is completely controllable. Zoey since being discharged from the academy has been through regular therapy and is compliant to her condition. Zoey recognizes when she needs to take control of her medical situation in times of high stress and to follow her medication regimen as directed. Her medications have little to no side effects that could prevent her from her duties. Having consulted with her primary physician and psychiatrist, who has treated her for many years, are in agreement that she is fit for Starfleet service. The Psychiatrist goes on to note that her growth in maturity over the years has also greatly helped with her understanding of her condition and need to manage it. Her own medical education has helped immensely. The last known episode of occurrence was at the Academy in which she admits to have not followed her medications as directed. With the recommendation of needing to see a counselor regularly while on active duty I feel that she is fit for a commission in Starfleet and clear for active duty.

Respectfully Submitted,
