Personal History
Personal History | Cordell was born as the fourth and youngest child to Thomas and Melissa Forgrave, Cordell seemed like his brothers at first. Unlike his brothers, however, his talents we not in academics, he tested too low for the gifted program in primary school--something all of his brothers got into. That's where things with his seemingly perfect family turned horrible. His parents became abusive not long after he entered school at age 5, and the more he failed to achieve to their standards, the worse it got. He would wind up in the hospital 14 times before he was 11, and while people suspected things, they didn't want to cause conflict--or a loss of educational funding provided by the family. He chose Starfleet at age 10, calling the stars his escape from a nightmare, and began trying to get in. Seven years later, after finally being removed from his situation, he got not only his chance in Starfleet, but the counseling and mental help he needed. |

Medical History
Medical Profile | "The Forgrave family brought Cordell, their youngest, in with reports of a broken arm. Bruises on both forearms present suspicions of abuse. Psychological Profile | Cordell can best be described as traumatized, due to his childhood. He is a near-constant insomniac, which ends up with him usually in sickbay from falling asleep in weird places, followed by a visit to the counselor for the same reason. Its difficult navigating his memories of twisted abuse and neglect, yet one wonders how he continues to go on with things as he remembers what happened to him. He originally resisted any form of physical contact, but the help of a friend and mentor he found while at the academy helped him progress beyond that, to where he can tolerate contact but conflict isn't his forte. |
